This workshop is designed for anyone who is looking to start improving their dogs off leash recall reliability (the command “come”).  This is a great opportunity to work on your dogs off leash reliability around distractions which is EXACTLY when they struggle the most to listen. Come on down and have some fun and learn how to improve your dogs recall!

***Dogs attending the class must NOT be human or dog reactive/aggressive UNLESS you submit a request with Kristina first to assess if this class is appropriate for your dog. Dogs that show aggression or reactivity when arriving, and who didn’t speak with Kristina first will be asked to leave the class for everyone’s safety.

What to Expect During This Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to working on your dog’s recall (the command “come”) in distracting environments by doing various exercises around other dogs and people with the supervision and help of a professional trainer. It’s also a fun and safe-space where you can meet other dog owners who have similar goals. Together we will help each other navigate through your dogs recall. 

Exercises depend on the group dynamics and dogs capabilities and distractibility and can include: recalling your dog off a scent, small animals, other dogs and people. Specific play exercises will be introduced to show how to help improve your dogs motivation to come.

Class Location: 

On the top of the hill in the greenspace behind 339 Sheldrake Blv.

Meeting Point:

Because this is a busy park, we’re going to meet in front of 339 Sheldrake Blv. (just seconds from the Sherwood park parking lot on the north side of the parking lot). We will be using the greenspace above where the baseball diamond is (at the top of the hill) to conduct the session.

From the parking lot, walk to 339 Sheldrake Blv. and enter the park. Stay in the green space at the top of the hill just to the right of the entrance beside 339 Sheldrake Blv.
